Clarendon Games is a London-based, independent publisher of quirky board and card games including “Priorities” and “Imposter” which have received rave reviews and are sold internationally. The company started back in 2012 and has since gained a foothold in the toy industry with offerings that run the gamut from party games to family games to games that can be played solo.

Will Sorrell is the Founder of Clarendon Games who started the company with a vision to modernize board and card games. Hence, the games produced by his company are easy to learn, fun to play, and are typically quick. Of the 30 board and card game titles that Clarendon has launched, over 1,000,000 copies have been sold worldwide. Below is a list of a few of these particularly fun award-winning games that are stocked in major retailers in several countries.

“Priorities” is a cooperative party game that asks players what they love most such as kittens, your new girlfriend, or a long hug. In each round, players must rank five random everyday items from love to loathe. From there, other players must work together to predict your ranking. Any correctly predicted item cards will be won by the players but get the ranking wrong and the game will steal them (the setup is designed to be the players versus the game). The ultimate goal is to see which player (or team) can spell out “Priorities” with the letters on the back of the cards first. With a deck of 200 item cards the game can be played over and over again. Ages 10+, SRP $19.99, Available at Target.

“Imposter!” is a game that takes place in the fictional Gameston Castle which has been infiltrated by imposters who are determined to steal the Earl of Simpleton’s treasures. Players must devise who is an imposter and who is a genuine guest at the castle using debate, bluff, and logic to win points. Each player assumes a role: genuine guests try to unmask imposters while the imposters try to smuggle the Earl’s precious possessions out of the castle. Ages 8+, SRP $15.99, Available at Amazon.

“Quick Hangman” is akin to the classic game but with a twist. Players must guess their opponents’ secret words before they complete their hangman but each guess applies to everyone’s word — including your own!

“Herding Cats” is a fast-paced card grabbing game that makes players compete to snatch cat cards from the table in a wild race to win. It’s fun for adults and children.

“The Mole” is a hilarious adult-oriented game that is centered around naughty conversation. Players question other players to expose their secret identities. Loose lips sink ships!

“Doodle Mayhem” is a drawing game where everyone sketches items for other players to guess. The sooner you finish your sketch, the more points you can win! You win points if your teammates can guess your sketch and lose points if they can’t.

“Classified” is a co-operative party game that presents players with the question: which photo shows the next target? Players must scribble out numbers and spell out words to give their team clues and complete the mission.
