Suzi Shelton Performs Songs of Winter Solstice at Symphony Space
Suzi Shelton, a beloved children’s musician, is scheduled to perform winter solstice-themed concerts at NYC’s Symphony Space via their weekly Just Kidding series. Suzi and her band, who have been together for more than fifteen years, will belt out kid-friendly tunes to celebrate the season in a powerful, inspiring, and upbeat way on Saturday, December 21, at 11am.
Suzi won a prestigious Parents’ Choice Award for her inclusion-minded album entitled Hand in Hand which cleverly used socially conscious messages to promote the importance of being comfortable being yourself. This album, and its subsequent prizes, granted Suzi a lot of media attention and that gave her more opportunities to meet and work with other artists. One such individual is Latin Grammy nominee Sonia de los Santos, who will be joining Suzi in this forthcoming seasonal sing-along as a special guest, along with Brooklyn kindie music star Joanie Leeds.
Symphony Space is enabling any children who come to the concert to get a sparkly snowflake applied to their cheek upon entry. The entire show runs for one hour and is appropriate for children ages 2 and older. Tickets are $17 or $14 for Symphony Space members.
